Jill Ballesteros-Bowman is a native of Los Angeles, California, and lives by the quote, “Take advantage of life’s opportunities; do not allow them to take advantage of you.” She is a 2014 Cum Laude graduate of Paine College, where she majored in Psychology with an emphasis in Counseling. Jill completed her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at The Chicago School of Professional Psychology and is currently completing her PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision through the same institution.
Jill joined Life Management Group as an intern in 2018 and has remained with the practice ever since. Over the years, she has developed deep clinical experience across multiple populations and settings, with a strong focus on relationships, identity, and emotional health.
- Couples Counseling: Relationship building and “Saving Your Marriage Before It Starts” (SYMBIS) facilitator.
- Teens: Facilitator for a Substance Abuse IOP Treatment Support Group for girls ages 14–17.
- Individual Counseling: Anger management, anxiety, depression, and stress management.
- LGBTQIA+ Support: Culturally sensitive counseling for coming out, gender dysphoria, gender identity, and transitioning, with advocacy for inclusive care.
- Premarital Counseling: Communication skills, emotional intelligence, and love languages.
- Veterans: Support for military sexual trauma (MST) and PTSD.
Jill tremendously enjoys being around people, getting to know their stories, and providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where they feel heard. Her passion centers on helping others by offering a steady, listening ear and practical tools that turn negative experiences into growth and positive change.
She regularly works with clients experiencing anxiety, worry, and stress that interfere with daily life, as well as those facing depression, reduced interest in activities, fatigue, and anxious distress. Her approach is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in the belief that meaningful, lasting change is possible.
