Lacole Harrision, LMSW
Licensed Master Social Worker & Trauma-Informed Therapist
Lacole is a licensed therapist with 15 years of experience supporting individuals, couples, families, veterans, active duty service members, and members of the LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC communities as they navigate trauma, anxiety, depression, grief, addiction, insomnia, MST, religious trauma, identity exploration, self-esteem challenges, and major life transitions. Her work in hospice, crisis intervention, inpatient psychiatry, outpatient therapy, and Primary Care Mental Health with the VA has shaped the grounded, compassionate, culturally aware, and spiritually sensitive way she practices.
Clinical Focus & Therapeutic Approaches
Lacole uses evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT), Motivational Interviewing, trauma-informed care, inner child work, IFS-informed parts work, and sleep-focused interventions such as CBT-I and BBTI. She believes deeply in whole-person healing—mind, body, and spirit—and welcomes conversations about identity, meaning, purpose, and values.
As a gender-affirming and BIPOC-inclusive clinician, she honors every client’s lived experience and creates a therapeutic space where culture, identity, and personal truth are respected. She works extensively with active duty service members and veterans navigating combat trauma, reintegration challenges, moral injury, insomnia, anxiety, depression, and complex PTSD.
Lacole also provides trauma-informed support for individuals and families affected by addiction, helping them rebuild emotional stability, reconnect with themselves, and restore hope. She is a wife, mother, and grandmother, and makes her home here in the Augusta area.
