Trauma & PTSD

Trauma Does Not Always Come From One Event

Trauma can result from a single incident, combat experience, repeated exposure to emergencies and loss, experiences from childhood or events that occurred long before a military or first responder career began.

What matters is not whether your experience looks like someone else's. If something is affecting your relationships, sleep, emotions, work, health or ability to enjoy your life, it is worth talking about.

Combat Trauma & PTSD Support for veterans and service members dealing with traumatic military experiences and their effects after deployment or service.
First Responder Trauma Counseling for firefighters, EMS, law enforcement and other professionals repeatedly exposed to emergencies, injury and loss.
Cumulative Trauma Sometimes there is no single incident. Years of difficult calls, scenes and experiences can accumulate over time.
Childhood Trauma & PTSD Earlier experiences can continue to affect emotions, relationships, stress responses and wellbeing throughout adulthood.
Complex PTSD & Long-Term Trauma Support for the effects of repeated or prolonged traumatic experiences and complicated patterns of stress and recovery.
Moral Injury A place to work through experiences that conflict with deeply held beliefs, values, expectations or one's sense of self.
Critical Incident Stress Support following particularly difficult calls, events, losses or experiences that continue to stay with you.
Grief & Traumatic Loss Counseling following the death of colleagues, friends, family members or other losses connected to service and life.
Anxiety & Depression Support when persistent worry, low mood, isolation, irritability or emotional exhaustion begin affecting everyday life.
Sleep & Stress Difficulties Help addressing stress patterns, difficulty unwinding and other concerns that can accompany demanding or traumatic experiences.

You Don't Have to Be in Crisis to Talk to Someone.

Counseling can be useful when something is clearly wrong, but it can also be a place to talk before stress, trauma or relationship problems reach a breaking point. Reaching out can simply mean deciding you do not want to keep carrying everything by yourself.
