Robert Stephens Jr., LCSW
Licensed Clinical Social Worker | Behavioral Health & Addiction Therapist
Robert Stephens Jr., LCSW, is an experienced behavioral health professional with more than 25 years of experience helping individuals and families navigate life challenges, emotional difficulties, substance use, relationship concerns, and the process of meaningful personal change.
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Robert provides a supportive, respectful, and nonjudgmental environment where clients can feel heard, understood, and empowered to make positive changes. His approach recognizes that every person's circumstances are different, and therapy should be tailored to the individual rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
Robert has extensive experience working with individuals affected by substance use disorders, anxiety, depression, stress, relationship difficulties, behavioral concerns, life transitions, trauma-related challenges, and personal development. He utilizes evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Reality Therapy, mindfulness-based interventions, and strengths-based counseling to help clients identify patterns, develop healthier coping skills, improve decision-making, and work toward their personal goals.
His extensive clinical and leadership experience in residential and outpatient behavioral health settings has provided him with a comprehensive understanding of addiction, recovery, family dynamics, behavioral health treatment, and the challenges individuals face when trying to create lasting change.
Robert believes that effective therapy begins with trust, respect, honesty, and a genuine therapeutic relationship. His goal is not to judge clients or tell them how to live, but to help them better understand themselves, recognize their strengths, overcome barriers, and develop practical tools for moving forward.
Whether you are struggling with addiction, feeling overwhelmed by life circumstances, experiencing relationship challenges, or simply want support in becoming the person you want to be, Robert provides a safe and confidential space to begin that process.
"You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin. Therapy can be the place where you start."
